StoneDecor™ is a natural marble dust mixture that can be rolled, brushed, pounced, or toweled over a variety of surfaces including SharkSkin™ and SetCoat basecoats, as well as directly to tile, cement, and laminates. StoneDecor™ is made almost entirely of marble dust and forms a marble surface when dry. Neutral and translucent in color StoneDecor™ can be tinted with FauxCrème™ Color.

  • Be sure to apply ample layers of StoneDecor™ to produce a substantial base to sand.
  • Always make a sample to ensure desired results.
  • Tint StoneDecor™ with FauxCreme Color™ to the desired tone or any number of desired color tones. Do not add more than 10% FauxCreme Color™ to StoneDecor™ by volume. Normal tint volume is 2-5%.
  • Apply the tinted StoneDecor™ over surface in a random manner using a brush or roller or by pouncing.
  • If desired, as this application begins to dry lightly dry brush or trowel to flatten down and to smooth out random decorative patterns.
  • Let each coat dry 1-2 hours before applying the next coat. Apply at least 3 coats to build a base to the finish.
  • When the StoneDecor color patterns are completely dry, 12-24 hours, sand the surface smooth using first 220 grit sandpaper followed by 400 grit finishing paper and clean away all dust.
  • Seal the StoneDecor™ marble by applying Olde World Venetian Wax™; then, buff to a soft shine.
