  • Use AquaExtender™ to increase open working time in very dry conditions.
  • The durability of the finish will depend on the quality of the latex acrylic paint added to AquaGlaze®.
  • The depth of the glaze color depends on the latex acrylic paint used. Pastel colors contain more white pigment and when mixed with AquaGlaze® will appear more opaque and chalky. Darker colors contain more pigment and will have a more translucent appearance when mixed with AquaGlaze®.
  • Interior or exterior latex acrylic paint may be used.
  • AquaGlaze® also may be tinted with FauxCrème Color™ for sheer color and better translucency, but with somewhat less durability.
  • AquaGlaze® mixtures are easily worked and may be used for a variety of attractive decorative finishes including marble, wood graining, rag-rolling, sponging, bagging, pouncing, striae and stippling.
  • Using a brush, roller or spray method, apply 2 coats of SetCoat® Clear or SetCoat® to seal the work surface. Let dry.
  • Create your glazing mixture by combining AquaGlaze® with 5 – 25% good quality, acrylic latex paint. Mix thoroughly. Product may be thinned up to 30% with water.
  • Apply the colored glaze mixture by brush, roller or spray equipment. Choose one of several methods to manipulate the glaze, using items such as plastic bags, terry cloth, Cheesecloth or paper towels. When pressed, rolled or pushed into the wet glaze, each tool will leave a distinct impression.
  • Allow each layer of glaze to dry for approximately 24 hours before applying a new layer.
  • Once the finish is complete, permit the entire work surface to dry for approximately 24 hours before applying a topcoat of ColorSeal™ or AquaGard™.
  • V.O.C. Compliant
  • Low Odor
  • Durable finish
  • Do not apply in temperatures below 60°F, or in damp, cold or humid conditions.
  • Technical product- training through Faux Masters Studio workshop recommended
