Meeting of the Masters - 2007
The Meeting of the Masters 2007 - Just as the product has, this event is sure to become Internationally Recognized.
What is Meeting of the Masters?
Meeting of the Masters is a non-profit event that was conceived as a gathering of fine and decorative artisans to provide an educational forum that celebrates the industry and inspires professionals to continue their education in faux and decorative finishing; bringing their skills to new levels and optimizing their potential for success in the industry.
The 2007 Meeting of the Masters was the largest event dedicated to faux and decorative artisans that we have ever seen. As lifetime finishers, Bob and Mike have participated in many decorative finishing events but never one with such organization and inspiration - this event made an impact on all who attended.
It is amazing to bring an event together with exhibitors and educators from around the world all utilizing the same product line in such a diverse manner. We’ve seen some incredible talent in our Faux Effects family and are pleased to be a part of it.
In 3 days we never had a dull moment in our booth. With the ongoing demonstrations we saw more traffic than we have ever experienced at any show. This was a great opportunity for one to network, learn, and get creative stimulation for new design trends. We can’t wait to see what Faux Finishing brings in 2008.
New Product Labeling
To eliminate any confusion between Aqua Finishing Solutions, Gold Label Architectural Coatings, and the Faux Effects Pro-Line materials, Faux Effects International has created a new labeling system. The traditional Faux Effects products will maintain the gold foil design with updated graphics that feature a “For Licensed Faux Effects Professional Use Only” banner. Aqua Finishing Solutions® and Gold Label Architectural Coatings™ lines will be consolidated under the Faux Effects brand with a distinguished label. They now feature a “silver foil” label - - denoting that these products continuewith a training recommended/not required classification, whilereinforcing their professional grade status. Faux Effects is also taking this opportunity to streamline many of the “crossover” products that over the years have developed similar application characteristics. We anticipate a period of transition, while Faux Effects and ourselves exhaust current inventory and introduce the new packaging.*
Become a Featured Artist in Faux Effects World Magazine
Faux Effects World is now available on select bookstore shelves, design centers, architect firms, and more. This nationally recognized magazine provides creative stimulation and great exposure for the featured artists. Faux Effects is currently looking for new topics for the next few issues and we at Faux Masters would love to see you a part of it! We are looking for individuals who have recently completed a project or technique that was learned here at Faux Masters or was inspired by the Faux Effects materials. We ask that anyone interested, please submit 3-5 photos of their project, and a summary of the finishing process along with materials used. All submissions will be reviewed by Faux Masters Studio and forwarded to the editorial department of Faux Effects International.
